Clinical Education Program


The Clinical Education Program supports the hospital to achieve its strategic directions by the provision of frameworks for the professional development of health professionals.

The Clinical Education Program supports the growth and maintenance of the future nursing and midwifery workforce through coordination of the nursing and midwifery student, graduate, transition to specialty practice (TSP) and specialty post-graduate programs.

The Clinical Education Program further collaborates with other health professional groups to promote best practice clinical learning environments (BPCLE) across the organisation.

The Clinical Education Program promotes pathways for engagement and retention of Aboriginal Health Professional learners and works with services to promote culturally safe environments for learning and meet organisational needs to have a workforce of engaged, safe, competent health professionals.


Your contribution
The Clinical Educator Midwifery is a pivotal clinical learning and education leadership position.

This fixed term position is responsible for delivery of defined education and learning support portfolios that may include but not be limited to:

Recruitment and coordination of The Women's midwifery and combined graduate programs including development and delivery of scheduled professional development days

Coordination of the Women's in-service and professional development program for maternity services


About you
To be successful within this role you will need to have:

  • Registered Midwife
  • Recent and extensive midwifery experience across the midwifery continuum in a tertiary centre
  • Previous education experience at the minimum level of clinical support midwife (or equivalent)

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

Influenza Vaccination Requirement


In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care.

Evidence of vaccination is required.


As this role fits into category A or B of the departments risk ratings, applicants will be required to have been vaccinated against influenza.
