    About

    A leading group organization is seeking a dedicated Business Compliance Assistant to join their Finance division in Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance of their high standards of financial governance within the Health, Medical, and Employment brands.

    Role Overview: As a Business Compliance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in conducting (SOX) Compliance tests to assess financial reporting controls and procedures on a regular basis. Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, you will implement processes, monitor non-conformances, and provide actionable feedback to drive continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams and contribute to the development of new processes to ensure ongoing compliance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct SOX Compliance tests on a fortnightly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather relevant information for testing.
    • Report and monitor non-conformances, and facilitate corrective actions as needed.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of new processes to maintain compliance standards.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.
    • Adhere to all policies and procedures, promoting a culture of inclusivity and safety.

    Requirements:

    • Tertiary Qualifications in Finance or related field preferred.
    • Knowledge of applicable financial standards is advantageous.
    • Prior experience in compliance testing or a similar role.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Proficiency in using computers and various software formats.
    • Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with stakeholders.
    • Full Australian working rights.
