About the opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a
Principal Strategic Policy Advisor in the Strategic Policy and Government Relations team.
The role will help deliver the South Australian Government's once-in-a-generation investment to leverage our world leading renewable wind and solar resources and develop a green hydrogen sector.
Development of a ground-breaking fit-for-purpose regulatory framework through the Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Act is key to establishing a competitive advantage, and delivering benefits for Aboriginal people, the environment and all South Australians.

Key Selection Criteria:
- Superior written and oral communication, including the ability to explain complex concepts succinctly and clearly.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including proven ability to lead, consult, liaise, influence, negotiate and develop a network of strategic alliances.
- High level political acumen and comprehensive experience in Cabinet, Ministerial, Parliamentary and intergovernmental processes including producing briefings, Cabinet submissions and providing advice at Ministerial or senior executive levels.
- Experience in shaping strategic thinking and providing conceptual and strategic advice to senior executive and Ministers, including through the demonstrated use of highlevel analytical and problemsolving skills.
- A track record in achieving results in a fast paced environment, including a track record of being a strong team player, and flexible without compromising on quality.
Qualifications:
Essential/Desirable:
Relevant tertiary qualification in government policy or energy related disciplines or significant equivalent experience
Remuneration:
ASO8 $117,554 - $121,992 per annum
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week
Special Conditions:
- This is a term vacancy up to until May 2025.
