About you:

Your strong strategic thinking, negotiation and communication skills will be a critically important in enabling success in this role.


You will have extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of the government financial management environment, be forward thinking, and can critically analyse and problem solve with a mindset for continuous improvement.

You will be adaptive, and outcome driven with the ability to work under pressure, manage a diverse team and the competing priorities of the role.


Key Selection Criteria:


  • Expert knowledge of government best practice financial, asset and procurement services.
  • Detailed knowledge of Government budgetary processes and accounting principles and standards, including Audit and Treasury requirements, bilateral negotiations, estimates committee and the principles of forward budget estimates.
  • Extensive experience developing, negotiating, and implementing financial strategy and budgets to enable successful delivery of organisational strategic priorities.
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, adapting style to audience and situation; even in the most difficult situations, consistently leaving other parties with the message that they have been heard and understood.
  • Ability to understand the needs of diverse customers/stakeholders and successfully balance their competing demands.

Qualifications:


Essential:
Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent.


Remuneration:

MAS3 $124,104 per annum
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week
