About you:

You will have extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of the government financial management environment, be forward thinking, and can critically analyse and problem solve with a mindset for continuous improvement.
You will be adaptive, and outcome driven with the ability to work under pressure, manage a diverse team and the competing priorities of the role.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Expert knowledge of government best practice financial, asset and procurement services.
- Detailed knowledge of Government budgetary processes and accounting principles and standards, including Audit and Treasury requirements, bilateral negotiations, estimates committee and the principles of forward budget estimates.
- Extensive experience developing, negotiating, and implementing financial strategy and budgets to enable successful delivery of organisational strategic priorities.
- Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, adapting style to audience and situation; even in the most difficult situations, consistently leaving other parties with the message that they have been heard and understood.
- Ability to understand the needs of diverse customers/stakeholders and successfully balance their competing demands.

Qualifications:
Essential:
Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent.
Remuneration:
MAS3 $124,104 per annum
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week
Special conditions:
- This is a term vacancy for up to 2 years.
