The BB Analytics, Data and Decision Science (BB ADDS) team uses data and analytics to better understand our customers to improve the customer engagement experience and develop innovative features that customers can use through digital channels.


Do work that matters:


You will be directly contributing to analytics and insights that impact how the Business Bank engages with customers and the features that businesses will see through the app.


On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Work closely with the wider ADDS team, product owners and internal stakeholders to understand their data requirements and build out a world class data asset.
  • Develop interactive and automated dashboards that help the leadership team make strategic decisions through proactive deep dives and insights.
  • Develop tools for our frontline staff and backoffice to better understand and promote meaningful conversations with our customers.
  • Support the optimisation of customer engagement strategies and product specific initiatives, using insights and analytics to develop innovative solutions on customer profiling and segmentation.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with internal teams (ADDS, Digital, Product, Credit Risk Strategy, DOT) Embrace continuous selfdevelopment and be comfortable with stepping out of your comfort zone and learning new skills.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Sound problem solving skills
  • Sound and demonstrated knowledge of SQL / Teradata
  • Experience with a visualisation program (Tableau or Shiny) would be advantageous
  • Attention to detail and willingness to pick up new concepts or skills
  • Experience or willingness to learn R / Python
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Degree in relevant discipline (qualification in Actuarial studies Economics, Finance, Statistics, Maths, or Sciences preferred).
