A thrilling chance is available for a seasoned clinical leader aiming to progress in their career.

The opportunity is to join the team as a full-time, permanent Associate Director of Nursing at a private hospital in Perth.

This position will provide professional nursing leadership to the inpatient ward NUMs whilst providing the daily operational lead as the Patient Flow service lead.


ROLE OVERVIEW

Key functions include:

  • Leading the daily bed meeting and coordinating the patient flow for the hospital;
  • Partnering with the ADON, Perioperative Services to provide a seamless service to patients and VMOs;
  • Growing and leading the team in providing, safe, informed, adaptive, and valuesled care;
  • Having an engaging approach to supporting VMOs.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Registration with AHPRA;
  • Postgraduate qualification in leadership, nursing, or relatable discipline (desirable);
  • At least 5 years of leadership in an acute hospital setting;
  • Demonstrate astute commercial understanding of labour hours and patient flow;
  • Have excellent communication skills & a strong desire to partner with internal stakeholders;
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
  • Demonstrate a coaching leadership style;

ABOUT THE FACILITY


The hospital, located in Perth, is a 224-bed private facility that provides Acute Surgical, Medical and Rehabilitation, and Coronary and Intensive Care Services.

The Operating Theatre department consists of 10 theatres (including a Hybrid) covering a range of specialities, including cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, general, vascular, and plastic reconstructive surgery.
