This privately owned Retirement Living and Aged Care provider has various locations across Queensland.

They provide experienced, flexible, and innovative care solutions to ensure client's choice and dignity come first as well as meeting current and future care needs.


An exciting opportunity has become available for experienced, passionate and "hands-on"
Community Manager to oversee the operations of their Waterford West community.

They are looking for someone who thrives on building relationships and has demonstrated strong business acumen and leadership skills, who will be responsible for the day-to-day asset management and operations of the community.

This is a permanent full-time role working Monday-Friday.

About the Role:


Reporting to the CEO, You will be responsiblefor the overall management of all staff, resources, projects, and policies, to optimise operations and support the organisations objectives to effectively deliver on the needs of their residents.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide effective leadership and foster a healthy and safe workplace
  • Ensure positive work environment and good communication between all stakeholders
  • Manage all financial aspects of the community, including Profit & Loss
  • Work to achieve agreed budget targets and key performance indicators
  • Manage human resources in a fair, equitable and financially responsible manner
  • Ensure provision of excellent resident outcomes and customer service
  • Monitor and ensure compliance of work health and safety
  • Organise and attend regular staff and residents' meetings
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement activities, working with Management in developing or refining systems and processes which support the business
  • Manage rental tenancies, following relevant RTA procedures and legislation

Required Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Aged Care, Community Services, Property, or Hospitality and/or equivalent relevant experience in a role
  • 5 years experience in an Operationsbased leadership role (e.g Hospitality, Hotel/Tourism, Property Management) highly desirable
  • Understanding of the Retirement Villages Act (Qld) 1999 and the Residential Tenancies Act 2008 (not mandatory)
  • Effective leadership skills and ability to communicate at all levels to all stakeholders
  • Ability to coordinate tasks, set priorities and work to timelines in a changing environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community care and residents' rights and responsibilities
  • Effective computer and IT skills, including Office, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams
  • Flexibility with hours when workload demands to support a 24/7, 365 day a year business
  • Interest in ongoing personal and professional development, with a keen desire to grow
  • Current criminal check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Covid19 vaccine evidence (mandatory)
  • Unrestricted Australian working rights
