    Manager (Ministerial & Parliamentary Services)

    Queensland Police Service (Organisation site )

    This role provides an opportunity to manage the Queensland Police Service's (QPS) Ministerial Services.

    Ministerial Services provides executive support services to assist in the preparation and progression of information and documentation to the Minister, and oversees the quality assurance of executive documents and processes, including parliamentary materials.

    The role requires working closely with a broad range of stakeholders from within the QPS, across other government agencies and the Minister's Office.

    The core capability requirements for this role are:

    • Identify internal training needs and overview the development and delivery of training and/or support to relevant departmental officers as necessary.
    • Provide coordination, support and strategic advice on matters relating to ministerial and parliamentary matters to the Minister's Office, other government departments and other officers in the QPS.
    • Establish and maintain effective liaison, communication and collaboration processes across the QPS and government agencies to ensure effective coordination of ministerial and parliamentary documents and delivery of high-quality executive services to the Minister of Police.
    • Manage and lead Ministerial Services teams in the:
      • coordination and preparation of ministerial and parliamentary information and documentation required by the Minister of Police and other internal and external stakeholders.
      • coordination, preparation and progression of timely and high quality ministerial and Parliamentary documentation.
      • quality assurance processes governing the provision of a range of ministerial and Parliamentary services functions.
    • Manage the human, financial and physical resources of the Ministerial Services Unit as required and promote a culture of client service and a commitment to business excellence and improvement.
