The Opportunity


KBR have recently won a major opportunity on the Sydney rail network so we are looking for multiple Design Managers with various levels of experience to join our highly skilled and diverse civil team.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced engineers looking to take the next step in their career and work on a variety of exciting rail projects in NSW.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with the design team and construction team to develop coordinated and cost effective designs

Full responsibility for the coordination and preparation of quality & systems engineering documentation as well as digital engineering deliverables

Prepare technically sound, well written proposals and reports

Support the sales leader to develop business opportunities

Monitor costs and ensure they don't exceed the predetermined, approved budgets

Maintain and develop client relationships and industry knowledge

Who are you?

To be considered for the role you must have the below qualifications and experience.

B.Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience (note varying levels of experience for various DM roles)

Design and practical experience in an operating environment (either maintenance or construction)

Technical design background is preferable

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of commercial arrangements and relationships

Strong practical knowledge of and commitment to health and safety in a railway operating environment

Chartered status is preferred
