The Opportunity

A Level A research-only academic (Research Fellow) is expected to contribute towards the research effort of the University and to develop their research expertise through the pursuit of defined projects relevant to the particular field of research.

The Research Fellow will work closely with the Dean on specific academic projects, and as directed, with one or more of senior researchers outside the Dean office, with a view to assist the Dean.

The Research Fellow will also have the opportunity to conduct independent research, leading to potential future grants and scholarly publications.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

The conduct of research as directed and under limited supervision either as a member of a team or, where appropriate, independently and the production or contribution to the production of conference and seminar papers and publications from that research
Advice within the field of the staff member's research to postgraduate students

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
