Our team is a
supportive, multidisciplinary team with a broad range of
early childhood teachers and educators, social workers, child health nurses, midwives and allied health qualified professionals committed to high quality work providing wrap around early intervention services.


Duties

  • Develop and facilitate childcentred, culturally sensitive and developmentally appropriate programs that meet the needs, interests and strengths of children (08) and families
  • Facilitate our play programs, specialist groups, offer targeted family support and deliver parenting programs
  • Partnering with families, you will undertake assessments, identify strengths, increase capacity for resilience and promote positive family relationships
  • Empower families to make lasting change, build upon their resilience to respond to life's challenges and make referrals to appropriate networks

Skills and experience
As a qualified Social Worker, Early Childhood Education, or Human Services professional, you will have:

  • A clear understanding of child development and psychosocial factors which impact on a person's ability to parent successfully
  • A commitment to play based approaches with a focus on building parentchild relationships to improve the longterm outcomes for children
  • Experience identifying and addressing child protection concerns using a holistic and strengths based approach
  • Excellent customer service with particular experience in engagement and rapport building over the phone.
  • Capacity to engage with people from all walks of life including the local Aboriginal community and people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds
  • High level of professional accountability and integrity and a passion for supporting children and families to live their best life
