    About the Role

    This is an exciting new opportunity to lead the Data Governance discipline within ABC's Data Management Office, by driving the implementation of ABC's Data Governance Framework and Roadmap and embedding and uplifting data governance and data management best practices across the organisation. The role will include:

    • Collaborating with management and colleagues to define and continuously improve Data Governance artefacts, policies, standards, and processes.
    • Leading the ongoing implementation of the ABC's Data Governance framework and Roadmap to drive Data Governance best practice across the organisation.
    • Becoming an active member of ABC's Data Governance forums, responsible for providing expert advisory support and chairing Steward forums.
    • Providing significant support to Data Domain Owners and Stewards to enable effective management of data across the lifecycle, according to ABC policies and standards.
    • Responsibility for managing, promoting and providing training on key Data Governance processes.

    About You

    You have extensive experience in leading, developing and executing Data Governance Programs and building data management capabilities within complex technical and data related environments. You will also bring:

    • Demonstrated significant experience in Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), Data Ingestion, Data Modelling, Lineage, SQL databases, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality Management (DQM), Data Architecture, Data Security, Data Privacy, IT security and Data Retention rules.
    • Significant practical experience in metadata management and data quality management.
    • Sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to establish strategic stakeholder relationships.
    • High level planning and organisational skills, initiative and a delivery mindset.
