Equipment Finance Specialist

Equipment Finance products are a cornerstone range of products used widely in Agriculture and designed specifically for the acquisition of various plant, equipment & motor vehicles used in Agricultural Enterprises.

These are distributed via DLL Equipment Finance specialists working alongside Rabobank's front office and client facing Country Banking division for agricultural lending.


Day to day:


You will be required to work closely with the Rabobank Rural Regional Client Management & DLL Business Support teams to deliver professional service in Equipment Finance to our clients.


  • Meet regional targets for new and existing business growth by managing /developing a portfolio of Equipment Finance contracts
  • Assist converting lending opportunities which meet the Bank's credit criteria to settled Loans, specifically through quality discussions around:
  • Equipment Finance Pricing & Structuring
  • Originations & Residual Management
  • Valuations / Inspections & on farm consultations
  • Dealer Liaison & Accreditation
  • Competing / Subvented Finance programs
  • Collections
  • Policy & Procedure settings
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate as part of a team. Proactively undertake crosstraining with other team members, monitor workload and turnaround times, and maintain frequent communication with the Rabobank Rural Regional Client Management & DLL Business Support teams to enable effective management of workflow and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Monitor Equipment Finance Loan Performance, collect revenue and ensure that nonperforming assets are recognised early and appropriate action taken
  • Ensure compliance with DLL's policies and procedures at all times including Ongoing Customer Due Diligence, Audit, Compliance, Business Continuity and Credit.
  • Contribute to the achievement of DLL's Strategic Priorities and adhere to DLL's Values and Standards.
  • Communication to the Regional branch network where appropriate for Equipment Finance matters
  • Other duties as directed

Essentials:


  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in finance, legal or marketing disciplines.
  • Experience in credit administration, lending and documentation with particular emphasis on awareness of equipment risk.
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 1 year) in establishing and delivering Equipment Finance products
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player
  • Remains positive and focused on opportunities.
  • Ability to develop long term relationships with internal and external clients, with particular focus on clients in an Agricultural setting
  • Proven skill & experience in effectively communicating at all levels with clarity and precision
  • Ability to review and analyse information, ensuring accuracy of documentation and compliance with internal and regulatory procedures.
  • Ability to influence, manage expectations, priorities tasks and meet deadlines, and remains calm under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently without supervision. Illustrates initiative and proactive behaviors and is a selfmotivated individual.
