Clerk Grade 5/6, $93,295 to $102,941 pa plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role


We have an exciting opportunity within our Workplace Transformation Program for the role of Assistant Project Officer working in the Workplace Design unit within the Workplace Transformation branch.

The role is a part of a supportive and collaborative team, driven to support the delivery of program outcomes.

The Workplace Transformation Program is striving to improve the work environment for all staff and this role plays a vital part in achieving this goal.

The team encourages working flexibly. Regular metro travel relating to the role will be required. Some regional travel will be required.


What you'll do
As part of the Workplace Transformation branch, you will report to the Program Manager, Workplace Design


You are responsible for:

  • Contribute to managing workplace transformation and relocation projects, including spatial design considerations, project planning, procurement, vendor and contract management, site readiness, coordinating contractors onsite and staff engagement
  • Engaging with stakeholders to educate and communicate information regarding design inclusions in accordance with our workplace design standards.
  • Creating futureproof and best practice design outcomes to enhance staff and client experience.
  • Collaborating and negotiating with various teams to coordinate favourable outcomes for the program
  • A key challenge of this role is meeting deadlines and milestones to the required standards while simultaneously delivering multiple projects

What we're looking for

  • Understanding of office design and spatial requirements including the ability to read, interpret and provide commentary on floor plans and architectural documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels to build strong collaborative relationships and drive mutual benefits and outcomes.
  • Ability to be flexible and to show initiative and respond quickly when situations change.
  • Proven experience in a Workplace Design role will be highly regarded.
