Aboriginal Community Engagement & Culture Officer (Identified Position), Batemans Bay - Part-Time, Corrections Services NSW

Employment Type:
Ongoing Permanent - Part-time (5 days per fortnight)
Salary:
Clerk Grade 5/6 Starting at $93,295pa (pro-rata) plus Employer's contribution to Superannuation and Annual Leave Loading

Your role
As an Aboriginal Community Engagement & Culture Officer you will provide advice and support to Community Corrections in the case management of identified offender groups in a culturally sensitive manner and ensure appropriate case plans and supervision is implemented consistent with CSNSW mission of reduction of re-offending.
You will also identify and build collaborative community networks and partnerships to improve the effectiveness of community offender programs for identified offender groups.
What you'll do
At Community Corrections, we aim to reduce the impact of crime on the community by effectively case managing offenders to achieve resettlement and successful order completion.
The team is excited to welcome Aboriginal members with great cultural knowledge and/or experiences to help make a difference and improve the lives of the diverse communities we work with.
What we're looking for
Within the recruitment process you will be required to show proof of Aboriginality - please see below for further clarification
- Documented verification of Aboriginality.
- You are an Aboriginal person of Aboriginal descent;
- You identify as being Aboriginal; and
An acceptable form of documented verification is a "Confirmation of Aboriginality" letter, provided to you by a local Aboriginal organisation that includes a common seal from that organisation.
