    As one of Sydney's top five registered clubs, it boasts a membership of over 160,000, employing over 580 staff.

    Members and guests are drawn to our club, enjoying state-of-the-art amenities with a variety of beverage, dining and entertainment offerings all delivered with exceptional service.

    Bankstown Sports is a one-stop destination for all.

    Our venues include the Lady Banks Rooftop Bar and the Basement Brewhouse, along with diverse food offerings across Italian, Asian, and middle eastern cuisines, just to name a few.

    The Group operates seven clubs as well as a state of the art 600 seat theatre, a large Grand Ballroom and an extensive range of facilities to host events of all kinds along with a commercial office tower.

    This position is a collaboration between Bankstown Sports and Mercure Hotel with the work you do being for both organisations.

    It represents the shared interests between our partnership and services clients across the Clubs/Hospitality and Hotel industries.

    Position Overview:

    As a Sales Executive in our Events Team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving revenue and ensuring flawless event experiences for our clients.

    This position is central to our organisation's success, focusing on achieving KPIs and exceeding client expectations.

    Here's what you'll do:

    Key Accountabilities:

    Sales Generation and Event Revenue Management:
    Work to KPIs and targets for bookings, event revenue, visitation, and membership conversion.
    Manage day-to-day administration of events, including proposals, Event Orders, and final accounts.
    Develop future and repeat business to contribute to business growth.
    Coordinate all aspects of events operation to exceed guest expectations.

    Business Development and CRM:
    Further develop the corporate, conference, and events client base, focusing on relationship management.
    Convert cold enquiries and referrals into events opportunities.
    Respond to and handle ad hoc event-related enquiries.
    Track sales enquiries and conversions, working to convert leads to confirmed bookings.
    Generate new leads via business development activities.

    Building Brand Awareness:
    Liaise seamlessly between departments and build quick relationships with clients and stakeholders.
    Work closely with the operations team through event execution, keeping stakeholders informed of any issues.
    Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop sales and acquisitions strategies.
    Monitor competitors and provide recommendations on changes to current strategies.
    Attend networking functions, events, and meetings as required.

    Events Management:
    Prepare and present event proposals and contracts to clients in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
    Ensure client event details are accurately entered into Event software.
    Provide quotations for event proposals covering venue, function, menu, and accommodation costs.
    Co-ordinate all aspects of events operation to exceed guest expectations.
    Ensure event bookings adhere to all regulatory and WHS compliance requirements.
