_ About the Role_


Reporting to the Director, People and Safety you will manage and lead the design and implementation of organisational development programs including diversity and inclusion and training, across the agency that builds capability and organisational effectiveness.


The role is responsible for ensuring that the strategies, programs and initiatives are innovative, adopt best practice and foster an open, diverse and inclusive environment whilst meeting our legislative, reporting and policy requirements.

The New South Wales Electoral Commission delivers trusted and independent systems, processes, oversight and engagement that support democracy in New South Wales.

Our vision is to maintain confidence in the integrity of the democratic process and make it easy for people to understand and participate.


Our work includes:

  • Running elections.
  • Communicating and engaging with the public and our stakeholders; and
  • Investigating possible offences and enforcing electoral laws such as the Electoral Act 2017 and the Electoral Funding Act 2018

Essential requirements and key knowledge and experience.

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in design, development and delivery of learning and development strategies and programs.
  • Experience in a complex organisation.
  • Significant experience related to human resources, organisational design, diversity and inclusion or related disciplines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, consultation, negotiation, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in related disciplines
  • Political Neutrality
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check result.
