About the role

The QInsure Risk and Compliance Team are responsible for ensuring that the QInsure Division meet their compliance obligations and operate within the Board approved Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) & Risk Management Framework (RMF).

As the
QInsure Compliance Manager, you will work alongside the QInsure Risk Manager to facilitate and drive a positive risk and compliance culture through the execution of first line risk management and compliance activities.


Key responsibilities:

  • Review of regulatory changes as they relate to QInsure policies and procedures
  • Facilitate the implementation of such change including, but not limited to the planning of policy updates and amendments, and the navigation of subsequent Board, Committee and Management endorsement via internal processes to meet governance, reporting and regulatory requirements
  • Take ownership and drive engagement, and a professional and positive working relationship, with external regulators and governing bodies such as the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), the Financial Services Council (FSC) and the Life Code Compliance Committee (LCCC) and the Council of Australian Life Insurer's (CALI)
  • Assist the Claims Teams and Underwriting Teams on their interactions with the ART IDR team in resolving IDR member complaints that are at risk of EDR escalation
  • Facilitate timely reporting to Life Code Compliance Committee ("LCCC") on annual compliance certifications

About you

With a background in Financial Services, you have the ability to manage and influence change whilst managing stakeholders at a senior level.

Furthermore, your skills and qualifications may include the following:


  • Proven experience in compliances roles
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline (desirable)
  • Knowledge of regulatory bodies' policy and guidelines
  • Excellent analytical and influencing skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines including those set by external regulators such as ASIC & LCCC including governing bodies
