As Underwriting Assistant, you have the opportunity to really build your strong foundations within their products and develop to Assistant Underwriter, Underwriter and eventually Senior Underwriter within this business who promote from within.

This is an opportunity to develop your career in the Construction/Property Liability space which is really interesting and niche

This role is the perfect blend of work from home whilst also working in the office 2-3 days a week to get that buzz and vibe you can only get when being part of a great team.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Provide support to the Underwriting Team
Review scheme new business and scheme renewals
Prepare and /or underwrite endorsements and extensions
Opportunity to get involved in new business and renewal quotes
Assist with incoming calls and answer general queries
Maintain strong working relationships with intermediaries
Respond to broker enquiries
Assist in the underwriting of profitable business in line wiht the company's delegated authority and risk appetite
Deal with offshore team rerating, special conditions, etc
Perform various other duties as required

***- Proven experience working within general Insurance or brokerage firm

Excellent communication skills you will be dealing with both your internal team and also Brokers
Strong time management skills and cando attitude
Selfmotivated team player
Desire to develop and grow your Underwriting career you will receive the best industry training within this business
