Primary purpose of the role

The role performs complex data collection, maintenance, analysis, validation and the preparation of reports and dashboards to meet scheduled and ad hoc reporting requirements of clients, provide external compliance and statutory reporting and report to support service improvement projects.

Key accountabilities

Prepare and deliver monthend, quarterly, yearly scheduled and ad hoc reporting to meet the needs of agencies and divisions and external compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
Manage and maintain SQL database, data backups, and recovery to mitigate unforeseen issues like accidental data loss due to drop tables.
Manage User administration and security profile mappings to set up new users onto Tier0 selfservice reporting portals.
Ensure end to end governance processes are followed to gain access to the reports for the specific agencies within the cluster.
Monitor and triage adhoc requests from diverse business users across the Cluster to assess the opportunities to transition users onto reporting portals and drive selfservice options.
Ensure requirements gathering for reporting requests are performed effectively and analytically with the client to understand the reports to be produced.
Extract data from multiple ERP systems, analyse and validate the data and assist in preparing procurement and human resources reports.
Ensure captured and downloaded data from sources, databases and systems are cleansed and validated.
Perform data quantitative, descriptive and predictive analytics to build analytical reports to support business requirements.

Key knowledge and experience

Experience in SQL programming and the use of scripting for the manipulation of data to generate datasets and metadata.
Knowledge of relational databases and architecture.
Previous experience of metric and report creation, including agreement definitions.
