    Maxwell Recruitment currently has a great opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join their team. Our client specialise in the manufacture, overhaul and repair of equipment and machinery for use in the mining, aluminum and steel processing industries. They offer a wide range of services including but not limited to forging, blacksmithing, heat treatment, profile cutting, proof load testing, destructive & non-destructive testing, fabrication, design and N.A.T.A accreditation.

    Overview

    This role is for a fully qualified Mechanical Engineer who can develop and design mechanical engineering-related documents and drawings in order to meet project and client requirements.

    About the role

    • Designs mechanical equipment, products and systems
    • Select, install and manage the maintenance of factory production and machinery
    • Evaluate vendor bids and drawings to ensure compliance with specifications
    • Provide sketches for drafting and performs engineering calculations
    • Prepare 2D/3D design drawings of plant, equipment, buildings or other structures as required
    • Review CAD operations and design workers
    • Prepare and maintain data sheets for equipment
    • Develop control systems to test equipment in line with the quality control and safety standards
    • $160,000K

    This position will require you to have the following qualifications:

    • Minimum Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
    • Familiarity with 2D and 3D drafting software
    • Ability to read & make correct interpretations of engineering drawings, procedures & job instructions
    • Exposure to the mining industry would be highly advantageous
    • Valid NSW Drivers License
