St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital is a boutique facility located right on the banks of the iconic Swan River. The hospital was established in 1932 and has a strong tradition of providing surgical services and maternity care. It is also the largest non-government provider of rehabilitation services in Western Australia, with private and publicly funded services supported by a comprehensive multidisciplinary team.


We are looking for a passionate and experienced
Clinical Educator to join our supportive
Perioperative team within our Operating Theatres.


You will enjoy a rewarding role in our private theatre complex comprised of seven theatre and one procedural room, where we conduct a variety of services including bariatrics, ear, nose and throat, general, gynaecology, obstetric, oral maxilla facial, orthopaedic, pain, plastic and reconstructive, paediatric and urology surgeries.


As a member of the divisional Learning and Development team, you will be responsible for the delivery, assessment and evaluation of Learning and Development programs and activities that reflect best practice standards to achieve excellence in service.

This is on a Permanent Part time basis, working 38 hours a fortnight.

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Currently registered as a Health Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal, communication and mentoring/coaching skills with the ability to engage with a diverse workforce.
  • Effective conflict resolution, negotiation and problemsolving skills.
  • Welldeveloped time management and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement and relevant Accreditation and licensing processes and associated links to learning and development programs that promote quality service delivery and safety.
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems, blended learning strategies and a range of computer packages.

Hourly: $49.40 to $52.76, plus 10.5% superannuation
