The Position

St John of God Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding areas. We provide 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services, and after hour GP services. Our 131-bed healthcare facility is operated by St John of God Health Care, and provides public patient services under a public-private partnership with the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.

We currently have two vacancies available for a
General Services Officer to join our team at
Hawkesbury on a casual basis.

To participate as a member within the multi-disciplinary team and under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor, assists in the delivery of quality Cleaning & Food Services.

The duties and responsibilities of the position are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with the mission, values and operating systems of Hawkesbury District Health Services and in-line with St John of God Code of Conduct.

We are offering these positions on a casual basis, working various shifts across 7 days per week on a rotating roster.

A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
Experience in commercial food services environment and/or commercial cleaning.
Ability to work unsupervised independently and effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Basic computer skills and ability to read understand and complete online work related training without supervision.
Ability to prioritise workload and demonstrate good organisational skills.
Sound knowledge of WH&S, Infection Control, and Manual Handling principles.
Demonstrated knowledge of good customer service skills.
Ability to work a 7 day rotating roster, working variety of morning and afternoon shifts as per the need of the hospital. Should be available to work Monday to Sunday shifts between 5.30am and 9 pm.
