About the Role


Our client who provides essential public services around the world on behalf of government and various other organisations, is seeking an experienced, strategic
Procurement Contracts Specialist to join their Perth team on a 12-month fixed term contract to drive contract management excellence and minimize risk for the company and it's stakeholders.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement for the assigned infrastructure portfolio and coordinating and delivering sourcing and contract management ensuring value for your stakeholders.


The role will, in consultation with the Legal team, develop contracts and will manage assigned contracts through the contract life cycle.


The Procurement Category Specialist will support the Category and Contract Leads in effective supplier relationship management, dispute resolution, and subcontractor performance management.

You work well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment both independently and within a team.

You enjoy being busy, your agile and building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, team members, suppliers and the customer.

You have sound commercial acumen, negotiation skills, stakeholder management skills and confidence in end-to-end category management inclusive of subcontractor management.

You understand and comply fully with the requirements of the client's OSHE policies, plans, standards, processes, procedures and instructions.


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience managing supplier performance.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing capabilities
  • Commercial and contract negotiation skills (contracts predominantly under $500k, 90% are maintenance contracts)
  • Track record in delivering savings in procurement
  • Ability to pass a pational police check
  • A key understanding of facilities management, building and site management, asset management and/or technical experience in a similar field desired
  • Proficient in the development of fit for purpose sourcing strategies
  • A good understanding of executing end to end category management.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective contract management, particularly KPI management
  • Welldeveloped organizational, time management and strategic procurement skills, including the ability to show initiative and work effectively in a fastpaced environment
  • Category management, contract management & strategic sourcing experience
  • Tertiary qualifications with experience either in Commerce, Strategic procurement, ICT, or Legal fields would be considered highly desirable
