Permanent Claims Advisor role - make a difference to Veterans' lives

Eligible for 'not for profit' salary packaging - up to $15,900 a year

Opportunity:

Due to the amazing success and growth of our Veteran Wellbeing Centre we have an opportunity for a new Claims Advisor to join our team.

You will join our veteran-centric program of health, wellbeing, and support services. You will work passionately to support serving and ex-serving veterans and their families in the community.

You will also:

Assist in the implementation of the goals and objectives of the Claims Advisory team, at all times focussed on driving continuous improvement across service delivery, compliance, across customer relations and engagement, risk management and quality.
Maintain service excellence at the heart of your duties, keeping Veterans and their families as the focal point of all activity.
Liaise with key external stakeholders, building relationships with the DVA and related services and agencies associated with the DVA.
Participate in work groups to achieve organisational objectives and outcomes for veterans and their families.

We need you to have:

Strong customer service focus
Willingness to learn and understanding the Defence, ESO and Veteran culture/landscape and awareness of related agencies and Departments.
Willingness to complete courses relevant to the role including the Advocacy Training and Development Program.
Ability to establish and build meaningful relationships internally and externally.
Highly developed communication skills, oral and written are crucial.
Demonstrable leadership, planning and organisational skills, alongside analytical, problemsolving, and high attention to detail capabilities.
