About the Role

The Online Communication Officer (Technical) role is to ensure the development of compliant, customer focused and quality online services and web content.

The position leads, enables and collaborates with stakeholders for the online delivery of a seamless website experience across our agency sites, intranets and Your rights, crime and the law franchise.

The Online Communication Officer (Technical) role reports to and takes direction from the Senior Online Communication Officer.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and publish digital solutions across our online channels using industry standard frontend development technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (e.g. jQuery and Bootstrap), that comply with departmental and whole of government web publishing guidelines.
  • Provide training, quality assurance and ongoing support to enable stakeholders in their use of the web content management system (Squiz Matrix).
  • Contribute to the delivery of customercentric information and services across our online channel, including the continuous improvement of products and services.
  • Resolve problems and assist in the development and implementation of initiatives, policies, processes, and systems for effective and efficient management of our online content.
  • Build effective and ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advise on best practice, like improving accessibility and information architecture, while enabling them to selfassist.

Mandatory Qualifications, Conditions and Requirements
Experience with Squiz Matrix WCMS, HTML, Javascript, CSS, Form.
IO and other web technologies would be highly regarded.
