Our client is a high-end womenswear brand looking for an experienced Garment Technician to join the team.

You will drive and manage the successful execution of all styles with a strong technical understanding of garment construction and pattern making.

You will provide technical support to produce garments, from design through to bulk production and ensure all garments are produced to the highest quality and construction standards while achieving design expectations.

Duties:

Ownership of garment creation and execution throughout the lifecycle of product; from proto stage through to salesman samples, preproduction samples and shipment samples.
Work alongside Design and Production departments to ensure all technical specs are clear and any measurement requests are consistent with the standard measurements.
Maintain, refine, and record standard measurements, against spec sheet for all styles.
Measure all samples to ensure they conform to size specifications.
Support production team in recording/providing detailed descriptions of upcoming styles to manufacturers ahead of sending out production packs
Help to assemble tech pack/spec sheets for manufacturers
Maintain, refine, and record exact measurements on tech packs and across all working documents for all styles
Analyse style instructions and sampling comments to provide judgements on technical construction and fabrication choice of garments
Attend all fitting sessions ensuing all styles conform to technical expectation.
With the assistance of the Production Assistant, record all fit comments in an efficient manner.
Supporting the production team in relaying all comments to factories in a clear and concise format, confirming amendments are accurately reflected, ensuring a highquality product is achieved for bulk.
Experience working within contemporary and / or luxury fashion
Experience working with woven and knits in addition to tailoring and evening wear
Experience in a similar position working with offshore teams and suppliers
Extensive knowledge on fabric composition, yarn and garment construction
