Position Information:


Liverpool Girls High School is a comprehensive girls' high school with an enrolment of approximately 760 students serving a diverse area of South West Sydney.

The school is proud of its multicultural background with over 89% of students coming from a language background other than English.


The school has its main focus on improving student learning outcomes through personalised learning experiences that engage, empower and enable its students to thrive and achieve their potential.

High quality teaching practices are supported through whole-school, and targeted, professional learning focused on improving student learning outcomes.


Selection Criteria:


  • Approval to teach library (secondary) or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
  • Capacity to manage an innovative 21st Century library space that promotes critical and creative thinking, develops student's research skills and strengthens their digital literacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues to deliver explicit, innovative teaching across different KLAs in a stimulating library learning environment, including whole school reading programs.
  • Proven ability to strengthen student engagement by creating a stimulating learning environment and building positive relationships with students, staff, families and the local community.

Special Notes:


If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education, which must be completed within 24 months.
