- Assist the design team in:
- Creating & completing trend research, design projects, range boards.
- Ordering artwork and technical sketches.
- Actively participate in design meetings, sharing new ideas and observations.
- Create and maintain e-commerce imagery using mock-up templates.
- Learn under the guidance of the senior designer to:
- Complete design briefs.
- Ensure detailed accuracy in production files.
- Ensure adherence to critical path timelines and strive for improvements.
- Adhere to customer briefs and brand guidelines.
- Qualification in Fashion Design/Graphic Design.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google equivalent.
- Intermediate Adobe Creative Suite experience (Photoshop, Illustrator) required.
- Passionate about apparel and graphic design, with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in a fun, social environment.
- Previous experience in similar role is advantageous but not essential

Located in Melbourne, the First Ever brand includes the divisions of First Ever Custom and First Ever Teamwear. First Ever manages the Official NBL Store, and supplies apparel to the league.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Design Assistant role at First Ever is integral to supporting the design team in various tasks essential to the creation and completion of design projects. Responsibilities include assisting in trend research, developing range boards, ordering artwork, and creating technical sketches. Active participation in design meetings is encouraged, where the individual contributes new ideas and observations.
Overall, the role involves close collaboration with the design team to ensure high-quality output and alignment with customer briefs.
