Your new role


As a Technical Operations Coordinator within our Science and Engineering Technical team, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the day-to-day operational requirements of our facilities.

This role will provide direct support for the state-of-the-art laboratory facility used by the Centre for Crop and Disease Management (CCDM).

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, provide leadership to our dedicated staff, ensuring a positive work environment and compliance with health and safety standards and all other compliance obligations.

Additionally, you will work closely with management to plan resources effectively and maintain our facilities to the highest standards.


Key duties and responsibilities include:


  • Coordinate daily operational requirements, ensuring effective space allocation for research activities.
  • Provide leadership and support to staff, fostering a positive work environment through mentoring, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Work with management to plan resources and staff effectively to meet operational objectives.
  • Oversee maintenance of lab facilities, equipment, and systems with a focus on safety and functionality.
  • Collect data, maintain records, and produce reports on facility activities.

As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
