What you'll be doing


The Clinical Products Manager will provide the focus and coordination for selection, evaluation and implementation of all new clinical products and existing clinical product with significant changes to specification and the reporting of quality issues relating to clinical product.


The position holder is responsible for ensuring that clinical products / equipment provided throughout ISLHD complies with NSW Ministry of Health Purchasing and Supply policies and procedures, NSW Ministry of Health directives, State Contracts and relevant standards.

The Clinical Products Manager liaises with clinicians, other staff and external vendors to ensure the clinical procurement process achieves a cost-effective and 'best fit' outcome for patients, clinicians and the Local Health District (LHD).


All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (3 doses for Category A roles, 2 doses for Category B roles) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

Selection Criteria

  • Registered Nurse (Division 1) who holds current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality activities and providing a professional and customer focused service with a demonstrated ability to conduct clinical product evaluation and manage quality issues.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results with a customer focused approach.
  • Willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position (drivers licence required).
