    Description

    Synchronise Resourcing is currently looking for an Operations and Production Coordinator to work for a large indoor plant Nursery. This would suit a qualified horticulturist looking to build a career in the industry with a well known and respected nursery. Reporting to the Nursery Manager you will manage a team and oversee the day to day operation of the nursery.

    Responsibilities

    • Support and lead a small team of production workers
    • Assist in the development of the production plan
    • Oversee the production of the various crops aligned to the production plan
    • Bring ideas to improve the operation of the nursery
    • Ensure a safe workplace environment.

    The successful candidate will have previous experience in a wholesale nursery role or be looking to build a career horticultural. This is a hands-on role that is at times physically demanding including but not limited to movement of stock, supervising transplant teams, and applying crop treatments.

    What you need to be successful

    • Diploma in Horticulture (or equivalent) qualification.
    • An excellent communicator who has experience managing teams
    • Exceptional organisational skills and proven ability to meet deadlines and keep to production schedules
    • Experience in propagation and a solid understanding of mother plant management and vegetative propagation would be highly advantageous
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
