Public Sector People are working with a High Profile State GOV Department and we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compliance & Monitoring Officer to join their team.


The Monitoring Officer is responsible for monitoring and reporting on registered and non-registered health service providers' compliance with immediate action restrictions imposed by the Health Ombudsman on the practice of their profession.


As the Monitoring Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing risks to public health and safety through the implementation of health practitioner compliance monitoring plans, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and site visits.


Responsibilities of the Role:


  • Prepare and implement health practitioner compliance monitoring plans to manage risks to public health and safety.
  • Gather, verify, analyse, and interpret data to evaluate practitioner compliance and assess risk to public health and safety.
  • Develop recommendations for further action and draft health practitioner restrictions to mitigate risk to public health and safety.
  • Prepare highquality correspondence, briefing papers, and reports related to monitoring and compliance matters in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the sharing of information and enhance service delivery.

Requirements:


  • Understanding of compliance monitoring processes in a complex environment, with a focus on identifying and managing risks to public health and safety.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise briefings, recommendations, and reports.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • High ethical standards, discretion on sensitive matters, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated personal drive, integrity, and a commitment to personal and professional development.
  • A detailed understanding of the Queensland health environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in complaints management and records management databases such as Resolve and TRIM is also desirable.
