This is a newly created role to support the ANZx data engineering teams as they build cloud based, highly engaging customer propositions.

What will your day look like

Support our data engineering and analytics teams in the delivery of reusable platforms and patterns in support of building our new banking platform.

Provide control guidance and technology risk management support by identifying, articulating and communicating risks and issues.

Partner with architects, engineers and platform product owners in the identification, assessment and management of risks and issues on our core platforms / customer enablement platforms
Develop a strong understanding of the teams needs and priorities to ensure risk and compliance is built in up front
Facilitate effective governance of key risk elements across ANZx to empower teams to selfcheck and remediate
Be a trusted partner on the transformation journey building strong relationships within tech teams and beyond to deliver quality risk outcomes

This is a new role within a rapidly developing area, so no two days will look the same.

Embed delivery and operational risk awareness and escalation and record risk information as needed
Embed compliance and regulatory management
Risk & Controls Assessment ensure consistent documentation of risk information across ANZ Plus for both delivery and introduced risk
Reporting enhance risk reporting and ensuring material decisions are captured

What will you bring?

We're reimaging banking and challenging legacy thinking, using the latest cloud platforms and data management technology. This requires an innovative approach to tech risk and security.

Experience working with Data Engineering teams and data products (Teradata, Oracle, Cloudera, BigQuery, Tableau) will be advantageous but not mandatory

Familiarity with IP, data management, data governance and data privacy regulations

Experience of working with Technology teams (Data, Ops, cloud, cyber, security, tech delivery) and an understanding of modern software engineering principals.

(For e.g CI / CD pipelines, data mesh)

Ability to effectively communicate to all stakeholders (technical and non-technical)

The ability to build and foster strong working relationships throughout the organisation engaging with stakeholders at all levels

Expertise in risk management, assurance or operational excellence - however we can help you learn this if you show us you love it

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to emerging market trends and optimise the way we manage risk and assurance

A track record and passion for driving the efficiency, effectiveness and continuous improvement of company policies, standards and practices
