Supporting a high quality Data Management team as a Senior Policy Writer, you will be mainly responsible for the following duties:

Lead the development and maintenance of enterprise data policies, fostering collaboration across the business
Ensure documents and tools align with robust risk and compliance frameworks
Establish consultative workgroups for effective feedback
Drive continuous improvement in documentation, reflecting industry best practices
Develop strategies for monitoring and evaluating policy initiatives
Manage research and analysis of complex policy issues effectively
Lead stakeholder engagement and negotiation on policy matters
Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and mentor talent within the Policy team

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:

Tertiary qualifications in business or law, or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through extensive practical experience
Significant experience in a
data governance policy writing ideally with a technical background within an insurance, corporate or commercially driven public sector environment is a
must:
Developed understanding of whole of business risk and mitigation strategies
Demonstrated experience in the Australian regulatory environment
Experience in a role operating in a fastpaced environment with significant competing priorities, a decentralised leadership model and dealing with ambiguity
