You will be joining one of the AFR's Top 100 Firms to work for and play an integral role as an Intermediate Accountant for this progressive inner city brisbane organization.

About the role:

You will be expected from day one, to have a strong understanding of completing tax compliance work. You will be supported by a highly experienced team leader and approachable directors.

From day one, you will have a clear career path if ever you want to become a partner in the firm later in your career.

Your duties will entail:

The preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for Companies, Trust and Partnerships of different complexities
Assist Senior Accountant in the preparation of complex tax matters - including Division 7A, FBT, CGT, Employee Share Scheme, UPE Entitlements
Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
Management of compliance requirements for a broad range of clients and businesses with different levels of complexities
Liaising with the ATO and ASIC as required
Contributing your passion, enthusiasm, and ideas to easily accessible partners and directors

A minimum of 1.5 years to 3 years experience as a public practice accountant for an Australian Accounting firm
Full working rights in Australia as no visa sponsorship is available
Proven experience in tax compliance work
Solid understanding of tax and accounting fundamentals
Proven experience working with Xero, Xero Practice Manager, MYOB AE, and Microsoft Office
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Willingness, drive, and enthusiasm to work in an inclusive team
Strong time management and multitasking skills
Has begun their CA qualifications
