Our client is a national energy consultancy and is seeking an Associate Director to join their team.
As an Associate Director, you will work in a small team environment, alongside experienced colleagues, and will work closely with our team of experts to develop and implement strategies that drive growth and improve profitability.
The Role:
As an Associate Director of the Energy Advisory and Sustainability Team, you will play a crucial role in helping Australian companies reach their environmental goals while enjoying a great company culture that supports your success.
You will work alongside and lead passionate individuals who share your drive to accelerate the renewable energy transition, and benefit from a role tailored to your strengths and capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage an Energy Advisory team, in establishing and delivering key client engagements
- Drive business development within your target market, as directed by the Head of Advisory
- Ensure quality assurance in your team's delivery of highquality client services across carbon and clean energy procurement, PPA and asset contracting, revenue and risk management, and wholesale market engagement.
- Coordinate work and resources in line with client service delivery.
- Collaborate with leadership in company strategy, product design, and execution.
- Develop senior strategic client relationships and provide business development in structured products in the wholesale energy market
- Developing senior strategic relationships with clients on both the supply and demand side of the wholesale energy market, regulators and investors.
- Manage and provide business development to our respective revenue streams and join leadership team on provision of structured energy solutions in the wholesale energy sector.
- Support the target to build a team to drive the business development and advisory delivery.
Skills
- 10+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
- 5+ years in an energy producer/trader/retailer role
- Impeccable understanding of the NEM
- Qualifications in finance, engineering, business, economics, or related field
- Proven track record of analytical thinking and success in a highpressure and competitive environment
- Experience in Retail Energy, Energy or Renewable Energy Markets, Environmental Markets, Environmental Commerce a preference.
