About the role

The Employee Experience team is seeking a Manager, People Analytics and Data Insights to join their fun & vibrant team.

The Manager, People Analytics and Data Insights is to the success of Employee Experience and the broader People and Culture team.

The Manager, People Analytics and Data Insights will report to the Director, Employee Experience and bring strong strategic People & Culture experience, coupled with technical and people analytics and data insights capability.

The role holder will be accountable for responding to business requests by turning data into information and information into insights, while managing employee data integrity across multiple systems and relevant deliverables relating to people data and analytics.

The role holder must have extensive leadership experience in this field and be able to mentor a team of analytics professionals.

The position plays a key role in setting the strategic direction of the People Analytics team and using data to provide technical expertise and insights to inform the development of future employee experience initiatives and solutions.

The Manager, People Analytics and Data Insights role is a 3-year fixed term contract, paying between $127,467 - $170,579 plus superannuation.

We have a hybrid working policy that allows you to work a mix of from home and in the office located in the CBD.

About you

We are looking for someone who is an experience leader with a people centric and empathetic approach to their work.

You'll need to be skilled in data storytelling and data visualisation.
Demonstrated experience in HR & people analytics is a must - experience in matrix organisations is highly desirable.

Let's get technical What will we expect from you?

  • The ability to develop a robust approach to establish analytics in line with the people analytics and data insights strategy. This includes streamlining the acquisition, ingestion and cleansing of data from disparate systems.
  • Lead and motivate a team of analytics professionals through ongoing coaching, development, and guidance.
  • Mentor and provide best practice guidance to other people analysts to troubleshoot issues and deliver complex reports.
  • Create new reports/dashboards and implement improvements to existing reports using Power BI and best practice visualisation techniques.
  • Provide data led insights using best practice storytelling techniques.
  • Develop robust processes to manage the investigation of reporting errors finding resolution through root cause analysis.
  • Develop and manage the creation of policies, templates and procedures around the collating and analysis of data.
  • Critically evaluate and screen data including the creation and maintenance of data catalogues related to People Analytics.
  • Experience and comprehensive working knowledge of business intelligence tools specifically applied knowledge in Power BI and data visualisation.
  • Extensive experience in people analytics and reporting within a People & Culture environment.
  • Track record of proactively identifying data efficiencies that enhance the employee experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience establishing and leading an evolving function.
