As a Coal data SME within the Coal Digital Factory, you will play a key role supporting the digital products that fundamentally change BHP's performance across safety, productivity and people performance.
The fun parts of this role include:
- Working with a diverse range of people and skills from digital professionals to our Coal operators
- Collaborating with internal BHP stakeholders to understand data ecosystem largely across outbound supply chain domain
- Identifying appropriate data and data sources and support development of data models that fit business requirements
- Translating business requirements into technical requirements
- Identifying data quality gaps through exploration and statistics
- Facilitating root cause analysis and agreement on potential fixes
- Supporting the developers by detailing use cases for ETL and providing business context to data
About You:
- Strong interest in understanding business processes associated with different data elements
- Experience in data access and analysis tools such as SQL
- Experience with data cleaning, preparation, analysis and exploration
- Experience in change management and/or project delivery
- Strong communication skills and comfort speaking with business stakeholders
- Ability to interrogate data to support problem solving, troubleshooting, and look for solutions to improve quality
- Experience with data Modelling Tools Would be beneficial (Kimball, Data Mart, etc)
- Exposure to visualisation tools such as PowerBI
- Development experience using Python would be highly regarded
- Working knowledge in Cloud platform such as AWS would be beneficial
