POSITION OBJECTIVES
Support production operations to deliver their objectives
Undertake maintenance (non-electrical) work to ensure machinery uptime and performance maintained
Manage breakdown repairs and trouble shoot equipment and process problems
Manage Mexex Maintenance Program and associated paperwork
Assist in machinery installation and qualification as required
Undertake the necessary training as required to extend knowledge and skills
Implement plant and machinery and support plant evolution and supply performance


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform breakdown, routine and preventive maintenance tasks on all site production and
infrastructure and complete associated paperwork

  • Participate in shop floor teams to drive improvement programs
Ensure work undertaken complies with Mexex food safety and quality procedures

  • General Construction and Fabrication
  • Reading and working to plans
  • Efficiency of plant and machinery
  • Leak detection and control
  • Adhere to 5S principals
  • Yard and workshop area should be kept clean, safe, accessible and in good working order
  • Adhere to Work Health and Safety practices

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Have a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role preferably in the food industry
  • B Class Electrical Licence optional


  • Welding certificate

  • High Pressure
  • Fitter and Turner Trade Certificate/ Diploma
  • Forklift Licence
  • First Aid Certificate would be desirable
  • Test & tag optional
  • Pump seals fitting and set up
  • Valve seals fitting and set up
  • Computer skills experience in excel and a maintenance record programme
  • Good Hygiene
  • Understanding & practitioner of 5S principles
