In this role, building strong relationships through effective communication and consultation, while shaping the culture to ensure a safe, productive, quality-focused, innovative, and disciplined work approach, will be paramount.

The Manager Repair Centre (Mackay) will successfully achieve the following:

    • Establish a safe work system to safeguard the health and safety of individuals and the environment as per Statutory and BHP requirements.
    • Cultivate an engaged, inclusive, and diverse team and culture where everyone is driven to excel and provided with opportunities to realize their full potential.
    • Lead operational growth at the Repair Centre by efficiently delivering component, module, and equipment overhauls and rebuilds.
    • Continuously drive innovation and enhance productivity by embedding BHP Operating System standards, processes, and systems.
    • Collaborate with Operations, Materials Management, Warehousing, and Logistics to enhance system-level improvements, eliminate waste, and optimize BHP-owned rotable inventory utilization.

    About You

Demonstrating an entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset, your profound understanding of operational practices will be supported by relevant qualifications and experience in delivering exceptional results while leading and mentoring diverse, multi-disciplinary teams. Your drive should stem from a continuous quest to enhance our safety, culture, and performance, fostering sustainable growth in Repair Centre value creation for BHP.

As a performance-driven professional, your leadership and technical competencies, alongside your experience in large, complex organizations, will be complemented by outstanding engagement and communication skills. A strong dedication to health, safety, environment, and the sustainable development of our people and culture is imperative.

Your expertise and insights into maintenance systems and the broader equipment management industry will be highly valued to maximize the unique benefits brought by the OS Repair Centres to BHP.
