BiomeBank is searching for a committed and passionate Medical Science Liaison with an in-depth understanding of Gastroenterology/Infectious diseases and gut microbiome to join our team.
About this Role
Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Medical Science Liaison will support BiomeBank's newly launched donor-derived microbiome-based product and be responsible for the following:
- Develop and build strong working relationships with Gastroenterologists and Infectious disease physicians and key opinion leaders and be a trusted advisor for scientific exchange regarding defined microbial therapies
- Acting as a key medical liaison building rapport and actionable initiatives with hospitals and clinics
- Engage in scientific dialogue around current and emerging data through field visits and presentations
- Develop and deliver medical activities including medical education and research discussions
- Ability to work remotely and be based in the Eastern States of Australia
Requirements:
Desirable skills, experience, and attributes for this role:
- Medical doctor (physician), PhD equivalent, or Science graduate with substantial and relevant pharmaceutical experience working in a medical, scientific and/or clinical research environment
- Discussing scientific or clinical data to help understand medical and scientific insights from physicians to improve patient outcomes
- Effectively listening, communicating and presenting scientific and/or clinical data to healthcare professionals
- Developing strong relationships with topranking healthcare professionals
- Experience in networking with senior/specialist gastroenterologists and Infectious disease physicians
- Knowledge of clinical trial design and process
- Knowledge of National Healthcare System and the pharmaceutical industry
- Understanding of the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct
- Demonstrated analytical skills and a solid understanding of research methodology
- Flexible, compassionate and customerfocused attitude
