The Company:

You will be joining a company that is a market leader in their field, providing Australians with well-known food products for decades.

This well-established and iconic business is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join the team to drive awareness and implementation of Quality processes for the site.

This role is working the day shift, (full time hours) Monday to Friday and based in South East Melbourne.

The Role:

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager your key responsibilities will include:

Maintaining product quality and food safety standards compliance across the business
Support the development, implementation, ongoing maintenance and simplification of the site's Quality management system (including HACCP, BRC, GMP, internal audit system, document control and regulatory compliance)
Daily quality activities including line walks, product release and foreign material investigation to ensure the safe manufacture of conforming product
Investigate consumer complaints, report findings and determine corrective actions
Drive the continuous improvement process for quality across the entire site and increasing awareness.

Your Background:

Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Microbiology or related industry.
3+ Years experience working in a QA role within a GFSI certified food business
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Strong problem solving skills
Understanding of BRC and GMP
