The Impact:
As a member of the Marketing Department, you will provide event operational support for S&P Global live and virtual events to a worldwide audience of customers and prospects.
You will highlight the breadth of our brand, executing events that feature our essential intelligence while providing the best-in-class attendee experience.
The Team:
The Global Event Operations team supports the Marketing Team as they strive to positively influence pipeline, drive client engagement, and build the brand through creative marketing programs, differentiated channel management, and operational excellence on achieving their sales, renewal, and retention goals.

We are seeking a Specialist, Event Operations to support a portfolio of global events, primarily focusing on covering Asia Pacific.
The role will see you assist marketers and the commercial sales teams by coordinating logistics for our large portfolio of events.
You will support the global events team by updating our internal event management system and keeping the event report system updated.
Execute third-party tradeshows and hosted conferences: Includes site selection, online and offline registration, stakeholder and attendee communications, audio visual, banqueting, technology, etc.
Source, negotiate, and manage contracts and vendors; manage timely payments to venues and vendors while complying with internal processes
Manage logistics at third-party events, or hosted events, ensuring our brand is represented and maximizing lead generation.
Manage to source of promotional items and event items and inventory and shipping of such
Keep track of event equipment and marketing asset inventory and manage the coordination between our team and vendor.
Manage the event registration process by using the available systems to build registration websites and communicate with registrants.
Support the marketing team in the creation of booth equipment, promotional items, and collateral.
Effectively communicate with on-site staff and key stakeholders pre and post-events.
Ensure customer expectations are at the center of the events we produce.
Be creative and innovative in optimizing events to achieve the best commercial results possible
Minimum and Preferred Education
Bachelor Degree.
Minimum and Preferred Experience/Skills
2-4 years of event planning experience preferred
Mild to moderate travel, but the ability to do so if required
Working knowledge of event registration system preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to manage multiple events in a fast-paced environment
Proven administrative, organizational, and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Open to experiments and new ideas
Relentless and hardworking
Fun Energetic Passionate
Mandarin and/or Japanese language skills are desirable
Flexibility to travel 2-3 times per year for roadshows and events
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Fluent knowledge and use of Cvent Registration System
Prior experience or familiarity with Asia Pacific business culture and practices is a plus
