The Commonwealth Games - an international, multi-sport event involving athletes from the 72 member nations of the Commonwealth - is coming to Victoria in 2026

Millions worldwide will watch the thriving regional centres of Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat, Gippsland and Shepparton host a jam-packed schedule of 20 sports, nine para sports, the Games ceremonies and festival program that together will showcase the best of Regional Victoria.

The Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee (Victoria 2026) will deliver the Games.

Together with the State of Victoria, the Commonwealth Games Federation and Commonwealth Games Australia, it is tasked with organising a world-class event for athletes, spectators, locals and the Commonwealth of Nations.

About the role

A once in the lifetime opportunity exists for a superstar administrator to support out Talent Acquisition / People and Culture team with a range of recruitment and onboarding activities.

This is a great opportunity for someone to grow their HR career, working across multiple areas of the People & Culture team.

Reporting to the Director, Workforce, this role will be responsible for:

  • Enter and maintain employee data including payroll and workforce data, organisation structure, recruitment statistics and metrics, and HRIS

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be a proactive self-starter with strong skills in communication, organisation, planning and stakeholder relations
  • Be energetic and love working in a fast paced environment
  • Have a high attention to detail and ability to prioritise your work
