The Opportunity
Due to rapid growth within our business this excellent opportunity is available for a
Packing Operator in our manufacturing Fill Finish area at our Parkville site.
This permanent full-time position, reporting to the Team Leader you will be working in a busy, schedule-driven environment as part of a flexible team in a GMP, Safety and Compliant focused arena.
This
role is for our afternoon shift 3.00 pm pm Monday to Friday. Some flexibility is required for possible overtime and weekend work.
The Role
You will be working with a high performing team covering various activities for labelling and packing of critical life-saving products.
This is a pivotal stage in our process requiring high attention to detail, safety, compliance and procedures to get the product to patients around the world.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct activities to meet the Master Production Schedule and forecast demand
- Complete batch documentation meeting timelines and quality requirements
- Ensure packing is performed in accordance with batch sheets and documented procedures.
- Maintain the packing area in an orderly, clean and compliant manner
- Assemble and operate inspection and packing equipment (machinery) as required
- Maintain working order of equipment and critical equipment calibrated and checked
- Participate in training and qualification processes for manual inspection (including annual eye tests)
- Assist trouble shooting of day to day issues and report potential issues
- Ensure batch documentation and printed materials meet compliance and GMP practices
- Ensure you are appropriately trained and qualified to conduct duties in a GMP, Quality and Safety compliant manner
Your skills and experience
- Technical and Mechanical aptitude well regarded
- Experience in pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing environment preferred
- Tertiary qualification in science (minimum VCE qualification) preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated ability to maintain attention to detail, follow set procedures and work to timelines
- Ability to concentrate on the task at hand and consistently perform repetitive tasks to a high standard
- Strong communication skills and supportive team contributor
- Knowledge of GMP, Quality, Compliance and Safety regulations and requirements
