The Opportunity


CSL Seqirus is looking for a
Quality Control (QC) PNS Analyst to join our
Immunology team at Parkville, Melbourne (Australia) on a
fixed term basis until 31 December 2024.

NOTE - This role is part-time, 4 days a week.

This role sits within the Products of National Significance (PNS) and Non-Influenza Vaccine Products (Non-IVV) functional group. QC PNS & Other non-IVV products consists of three different areas, which include Biological Potency, Biochemistry and Virology


Reporting to the
QC Team Leader, you will support the team to enable testing of PNS & Non-IVV product in accordance with the code of cGMP.


The Role

  • Support the team to ensure that the assays performed in each department are prepared and executed in accordance with the code of GMP
  • Assist in the development, preparation and training of QC staff in approved procedures as required
  • Assist with investigation of Out of Specification (OOS) test results, invalid assays or when unusual data is observed as required
  • Ensure the functional area is audit ready at all times
  • Support the operational area proactively to prevent invalid assays and reduce out of specification results
  • Follow approved procedures perform a range of procedures for PNS and other nonIVV products such as Biological Potency assays, Biochemistry assays and Virology assays
  • Properly document test results in appropriate records and computer systems
  • Coordinates and maintains documentation and records, distributing, and filing all manufacturing procedures, deviations etc.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in an appropriate scientific discipline, applied science or biological technology discipline and/or demonstrated laboratory experience
  • Experience in EIA/ELIZA, SDS page and Solution preparation
  • Experience in Biochemistry/immunology
  • Experience in assay preparation
  • Able to accurately maintain testing records
  • Computer system for data entry and inquiry functions
  • Strong scientific report writing skills
  • Stakeholder relationship and management
