About us

  • The West Metro Health Service Partnership (West Metro HSP) is made up of six health services (Royal Melbourne Hospital, Western Health, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Royal Women's Hospital, the Royal Children's Hospital, and Werribee Mercy) and the North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network.
  • The West Metro HSP, is looking to build a diverse, high performing team of motivated people who are committed to support and enable change at a systems level. The Communications and Engagement Coordinator will play a critical role in helping to foster a community of engaged stakeholders, through the provision of highquality communications and engagement support.

Your new role:


  • Although this role will be appointed at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, this newly created position will provide an exceptional opportunity to work across a unique network of leading general and specialist, statewide health services within the West Metro Health Service Partnership (HSP).
  • The West Metro HSP is seeking an experienced Communications and Engagement Advisor with the relevant skills to:
  • Deliver high-quality communications and engagement support, and targeted communications activities that promote and create buy-in for our reform programs
  • Deliver impactful communications materials across a range of channels to external and internal audiences
  • Support the delivery of strategic communications projects for the West Metro HSP's collaboration programs and projects
  • Provide support to the Strategic Communications and Engagement Director
  • Content development and delivery
  • Communications advice and support
  • Stakeholder relationship management

About you:

You have a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in communications, stakeholder engagement or journalism, as well as:

  • Demonstrated ability to produce strong written and multimedia content to meet diverse audience needs
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in managing and implementing stakeholder engagement activities
  • Experience working under pressure to deliver with competing deadlines in a collaborative environment
