The Way Funky Company an Australian swimwear and fitness company that produces the labels FUNKY TRUNKS and FUNKITA has a fantastic opportunity for an office allrounder, to join our team at Head Office, which is home to a collaborative, dynamic and high performing team of professionals.

We are looking for someone with a positive, proactive and dedicated personality who is looking to be part of a fast paced, rewarding and supportive environment.


This role is a vital position within the team at Head Office and offers plenty of variety and scope for the right individual to shine and grow within the organisation.


We need someone who is happy to juggle a wide variety of complex administration tasks, provide a high level of customer service and become an integral part of the business.

Someone with demonstrated proficiencies in the Microsoft Office suite and company systems to swiftly handle an array of computer-based administration requirements with a high degree of accuracy.

A real team player who takes pride in their work and is motivated by supporting other staff in achieving in their roles.

Being one of the first points of contact for customers, we want someone with passion and can speak to customers in a respectful, professional manner to assist them with their enquiry right through to its resolution.

You will ensure that all responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered with high quality in a timely manner.


Key responsibilities of the position:


This is a vital role to our business, to help us deliver a smooth and reliable supply of products and customer service, with a willingness to help wherever needed.

In this busy and varied role, your responsibilities will include:

Administrative duties, including collating and maintaining administration related spreadsheets, inputting and collating orders into the company ordering system.


Creating, updating and maintaining customers, suppliers and products in the company ERP with a high level of proficiency and accuracy.

Manage and administer the customer service inbox by provide swift accurate responses through the utilisation of templates and acquired knowledge of the business and its products

Answering incoming phone calls providing concise and accurate information to customers to reach a positive outcome

Assisting with events and functions both internal and external


To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have:
Experience working within an Administration / Customer Service role

Excellent customer, communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to staff and customers at all levels

Polished and professional telephone skills

Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise

Ability to learn new systems quickly and become fluent in them in a short space of time

High work ethic, strong sense of urgency, high attention to detail and accuracy and ability to work effectively as part of a team

Well-developed organisational skills, ability to work well under pressure and prioritise your workload

Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisation skills are mandatory

Enthusiasm, positive outlook and team oriented work ethic

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Self-motivation and flexibility

Work effectively as part of a team as well as independently

Knowledge of the swimwear labels an advantage

A friendly and cheerful demeanour combined with an ongoing goal to excel in customer service

Experience using Mailchimp is an advantage

Experience using Netsuite or similar ERP systems is desirable

Job applicants must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be considered for this position.

Training will be provided but you must be proficient in excel and confident learning new online systems.
