Your next opportunity:


We now have a very exciting opportunity for a
Financial Reporting Manager to join our team in
Altona on a
full-time basis.


In this role, you will be accountable for
managing the financial reporting function and team, coordinating and planning the resources of the two Business Analysts to
ensure accurate and timely management accounting information and statutory reporting.

You will also be responsible for ensuring projects are completed to required deadlines, and for supporting the Financial Controller in
managing the Business Accounting functions of the organisation and ensuring
compliance with professional, statutory, and internal accounting standards and requirements.


Other responsibilities include:

  • Leading and Managing the financial aspects of Plant (Operations) Accounting and Reporting;
  • Accurately recording all production related transactions in accordance with relevant Accounting Standards and requirements;
  • Financial, Commercial, and Operational data analysis, identifying costsavings opportunities and actively participating in evaluating capital projects
  • Leading and Coordinating the plant business planning process, including budgeting and forecasting, as well as month and yearend reporting;
  • Providing technical advice to stakeholders on financial aspects of business;
  • Supervising and mentoring the Business Analyst team;
  • Providing corporate, management, and financial accounting reporting and compliance data on product costing, budgeting and planning, shareholder reporting, KPI reporting, auditing and controls, and greenhouse compliance activities; and
In addition to the above, you will be responsible for broader department support and ad-hoc duties as required.

Who are we looking for?:


  • Strong knowledge and understanding of
    accounting principles and practices;
  • Strong
    analytical and interpretive skills with an ability to identify problems and opportunities for improvements;
  • Advanced knowledge of
    MS Excel;
  • Experience with
    SAP (or Oracle or NetSuite or similar) and
    Reporting software (e.g. PowerBI) are highly regarded;
  • Knowledge in Taxation are also highly regarded;
  • Understanding and knowledge of
    Product Costing;
  • Ability to
    build strong trusting relationships and closely partner with stakeholders across sites;
  • Exceptional
    verbal and written communication skills, with ability to influence on implementation of corrective actions and improvements;
  • Excellent
    attention to detail, time management, prioritization and organisational skills;
  • A strong
    team player mindset; and
  • Whilst not essential,
    supervisory/leadership experience are highly regarded.
